Barrack

What is Barrack?
Barrack is one of the most important buildings for your attack force. You use Elixir to train troops from your Barracks, and march them over enemy’s villages.

You can upgrade Barracks to unlock advanced troops and have more queue length. However, while upgrading, that Barrack will stop training troop which significantly slow down your troop training capability. Some players consider using Gems to speed up Barracks upgrade to avoid this downtime. Or you can try to schedule Barrack upgrade during your vacation or busy time to lessen the impact from Barrack downtime.

The Barracks allow you to train troops to attack your enemies. Upgrade the Barracks to unlock advanced units that can win epic battles.

Queuing Troops
Queuing Troops is one of the unique elements in the game that need both art and science. For easy and simple purpose, some players prefer to train specific troop in each Barracks, for example 2 Barracks for Archer – 1 for Barbarian and 1 for Goblin. Some players prefer to train same amount of combination troops in each Barracks in order to get same amount of training time.

You should always queue your troops in the Barracks for the following reasons;

• Less waiting time; as mentioned in Basic Attack Tactics, while you are attacking, Barracks continue training troops for you. This reduces waiting time for your next attack.
• Elixir Hiding; because you can cancel any troop training and still get 100% Elixir in return, if your Army Camp are full, you can simply queuing any troops then cancel later. Enemy will see less available loot of your Elixir especially if you are low on Elixir Resource. This doesn't work if you have too much amount of Elixir.
• Overnight / between sessions training; Troops such as Balloon, Wizard, Dragon and P.E.K.K.A take very long time to train and are not practical to use in farming purpose for Resource. However, you can queue them overnight or between sessions to try new tactics, have some fun or do a painful revenge!

How important I should prioritize and upgrade Barrack?
With basic army composition of Barbarian, Archer, Goblin, Giant and Wall Breaker, you should at least upgrade all Barracks to level 5 to be able to train any of basic troops from any Barracks.

Looking at upgrading time, some may consider upgrading all Barracks to level 7 (1 days for Barrack level 7). This helps increase queue length to 50 and allows you to queue and train mass Wizard if wanted.

Finally, upgrading all Barracks to level 9 or 10 will allow you to train mass Dragon or mass P.E.K.K.A overnight for fun attack or revenge in the next morning.

Defense Tactics for Barrack placement
Barrack has very low hit point compared to other buildings. Better place them outside Wall 2 space apart to further extend the deployment area of enemy.

There is nothing much, just smash through them like a cheese.
